We all know Khabib for his devastating fight style and the prestigious legacy he holds in the world of MMA, but that's from a competitors standpoint... Try Khabib The Promoter. In a recent press-conference for Khabib's fight promotion "Eagle FC" in Miami, Khabib announced his plans to expand to the states and put on "lots of events" including "7 or 8 events here in Miami." Eagle FC is booked to host its debut in the states January 28th with a wicked card filled with past UFC legends like Rashad Evans, Ray Borg, Kevin Lee, Diego Sanchez, and maybe even Junior Dos Santos. Another cool twist Khabib chose to incorporate in the league is 2 new divisions, a 165 pound division and a 175 pound division. Kevin Lee already claims to be the best in the world at 165 lbs and I guess Diego Sanchez will be the guy to prove otherwise... Khabib also just designed and is nearly finished building his own state of the art fighting complex VERY similar to the APEX called the FLEX Arena haha. It's
confirmed that he definitely is 100% retired and will now just be around pissing Dana off and scalping big name fighters as they get released or can't come to negotiation terms with the UFC and Dana. It will be super interesting to track how their relationship slowly dips until they are full on enemies, but hey you never know! Just another fight promotion to drive up negotiations for Dana as well as, sign upcoming talent to a useless division, or even allow the opportunity for guys that shouldn't be fighting to fight.
