The Geeks are back in action this weekend when Karate Combat comes down to South Florida. This event is not one to miss. Karate Combat has partnered with the Kanpai Pandas to bring this event down to Miami. This promotion has an underground feel that is unmatched, and it is starting to hit the mainstream. The combatants duel in “The Pit”, which is one of the coolest performance areas in sports. They also limit the showing to maximize the experience of every fan in attendance. Expect the stars to be out and about Saturday in Miami. They’ve already announced MMA legends George St. Pierre and Bas Rutten will be in attendance. I would expect many more prominent faces, including Ian Garry and Daniel Rodriguez, to be checking out the scenes as well.

Karate Combat is an absolute striker’s delight. The ruleset is open striking on the feet and no grappling. Simply two competitors stepping in the Pit looking for pure violence. The product is one of extreme entertainment with incredibly high level strikers. These cards are a spectacle from bottom to top. The two fights at the top of the card are worth an extra spotlight as well. In the co-main event, there is Raymond Daniels vs Sasha Palatnikov. The main event is a bout between Luiz Rocha and Bruno Souza. Souza and Palatnikov came to Karate Combat after time in the UFC and their competitors have both fought in Bellator. Expect a lot of flashy and devastating techniques between Souza and Rocha. Both guys were known in MMA for their karate skills, and have been buzzsaws in the Pit. That fight is for the title at 155 pounds.

The fellas are excited to be back in action this weekend. This feels like an incredible event to have boots on the ground. Expect interviews, coverage and a ton of content coming from KC39. Karate Combat is a promotion that is growing as fast as any in combat sports. This event being partnered by Kanpai Pandas will add an extra level of insanity to the night. As the old saying goes, be there or be square. Let’s have a weekend!
